Archmere Students Earn Recognition at the Bucks County Student Theater Festival

The Bucks County Playhouse Student Theater Festival is an opportunity for teens from throughout the region to come to the Playhouse to perform for each other, take master classes, and receive professional adjudication. This year, over 700 students from Pennsylvania and New Jersey participated. Archmere's Red Balloon, directed by teacher Brian Manelski, won the "Spotlight Award for Excellence in Theatre". The cast of Red Balloon included Annalise Mara '18, Anna South '15 and Sam Dainton '15. Lights were by Emily Jasani '18.  

For the second year in a row, the "Best Ensemble" award went to Archmere for Check Please, which was directed by students Jackie Kraft '17 and Catherine Lawless '17.  The cast included Grace Savon '17, Eli Hunsinger '17, Matthew Etzrodt '17, Caroline Quinn '17, Keelin Reilly '17, Emma Stovicek '17, Joseph McAlonan '16, Jack deBruin '18, Gia Mariano '18, Sam Dainton '15, and Anna South '15. Lights were by Emily Jasani '18.  Joe McAlonan '16, who played Brandon in Check Please, also won the "Outstanding Actor" award.
