Volleyball State Champs Sweep Newark Charter
Archmere volleyball took down Newark Charter in three sets (25-16, 25-6, 25-7) last night. This was the second official game of the season and the second win for the Auks. Newark was able to tie the game three times in the first set, but were unable to keep up with the defending champions' momentum by mid-set.
WDEL reports: Junior Zoe Akoto lead the Auks with 11 kills, 9 digs, and 2 assists. Sami Mengers followed with 6 kills, 2 blocks, and 6 digs. Kaylie Leclerc led assists tallying 10.
