Archmere Students Earn WordWright Honors

A team of Archmere students won high honors at this year's national WordWright Challenge, a competition for high school students requiring close reading and analysis of prose and poetry. Participating with 631 schools from across the country and more than 63,000 students, Archmere's eleventh graders earned sixth place in the nation in the year's first meet, held in October.

Students who achieved outstanding individual results in the meet included juniors Cateris Doran, Charles Liston, Maureen Tibbetts, Leah DaCosta, Alison Lobo, Nick Salameda, and Emma Stovicek; and senior Hannah Palczuk. The Archmere students were supervised by English teacher Steve Klinge.
