The Archmere Girls Basketball team improved to 7-3 on Saturday after a win against Mount Pleasant. Elise Bastian '17 scored nine points to lead Archmere to a 31-20 victory at home. Archmere dominated most of the first half, leading by four points going into the break thanks to a basket by freshman Emma McCann with less than a minute left.

The Examiner writes of the second half: The Auks opened the quarter on a 9-2 run, with most of the damage being done inside. Bastian opened the scoring with a three-pointer, then Maggie Malloy took an inbounds pass under the hoop and laid it in. Aniyah Green scored for Mount on a nice spin move, but the Auks Danaziah Brown hit the next two field goals, both the result of offensive rebounds in the paint, to make it 23-12.

On Friday the Auks will travel to Concord for a 5:15 PM game.
