Archmere Sends Six Wrestlers To State Tournament
As the Independent Conference Wrestling Tournament came to a close Saturday afternoon at Sanford School, Archmere placed 5th overall and had six members qualify for the State Tournament. The following wrestlers placed at the Independent Conference and will be competing at the championships:
3rd Place (113 lb) Gary Clements '18
3rd Place (120 lb) Matt McCurnin '16
3rd Place (126 lb) Nolan Collins '19
4th Place (170 lb) Jake Mottola '16
3rd Place (182 lb) PJ (Patrick) Wicks '17
4th Place (220 lb) Michael Devine '18
The Auks have a 10-2 season record. The DIAA Individual Championships will take place next weekend at Cape Henlopen High School, where 23 teams will be participating.
