Also taking on St. Mark's last Wednesday, Senior Captain Presley Conaty’s three goals helped the Lady Auks secure a 5-4 victory during their season opener. It wasn't until the end of the first half that Presley secured the Auks' first goal, kicking the offense into a groove. Presley and fellow senior Anna Baxter each pushed out a goal to close the half with a 3-3 tie, setting the momentum for Presley's third goal in the second half. Presley's hat trick made WDEL's Delaware Sport Zone "Play of the Week". Senior Kennedy Murphy provided the winning goal two minutes later, and the teams played the final 16:50 with no additional scoring. Archmere goalie sophomore Meredith Wolak kept the Spartans off the board, making at least six outstanding saves.
