Archmere Senior Joe Singley Hits A Home Run
Joseph Singley '16 caught the attention of the Delaware Sports Zone when he hit a long home run on Tuesday against Milford High School. Joe, a catcher for the Auks, sent his ball about 20 feet beyond the five-foot high fence in left field, giving the Auks a 1-0 lead over fellow playoff team from last year, the Milford Bucs.
The Auks were able to hold off any threat from Milford with big plays from Nick Talley '16 at third base and Andrew Orzel '16 and Colin Lynch '17 at pitcher. Archmere (2-0) claimed a 5-2 victory and will travel to play Caesar Rodney Saturday at noon.
