Mastersingers Bring Home the Gold in National Competition
This weekend, Archmere's Mastersingers competed in the Heritage National Music Competition in Seattle, WA, and brought home several first place awards. They not only won first place in their Chamber Choir division, they also won the Outstanding Choral Group Award as well as the Adjudicators Award, which is the award presented to the ensemble that received the highest scores of all groups (band, orchestra, and choir).
The Seattle Heritage Festival is part of WorldStrides, who since 1967 has believed that performance travel does great things for students and their departments. After the competition, the Mastersingers received positive, constructive adjudication with written and recorded comments from a panel of three nationally acclaimed adjudicators. As part of the festival weekend, Archmere's Mastersingers attended the Festival's awards ceremony and also enjoyed a harbor cruise and dinner show at Tillicum Village, a Puget Sound area visitor attraction located on Blake Island just off the shore of Seattle, WA.
