Leah Lightcap Awarded Centennial Medal by Philadelphia University
On August 18th, Mrs. Leah Lightcap, Archmere's Director of Enrollment & Admissions, was awarded the Centennial Medal by Philadelphia University. The award is given to outstanding educators nominated by incoming Philadelphia University freshman. Mrs. Lightcap was nominated for the medal award by 2016 Archmere graduate Tori Falasco.
Established in 1984 by the board of trustees to celebrate Philadelphia University’s 100th anniversary, the Centennial Medal Award honors prominent individuals in education, business, government, science and civil life who have made special contributions to students’ lives. At the August 18th convocation, Tori remarked on her experience as Mrs. Lightcap's student, stating "She always focused on my potential [...] She has taught me that no challenge is too challenging, and through dedication anything may be achieved."
