Olivia O'Dwyer '17 Selected as Finalist for the Confucius Institute's Annual Student Award

The Confucius Institute U.S. Center has named Archmere senior Olivia O'Dwyer a finalist in their annual Student Award. As a selected finalist, Olivia will attend the Institute's 2016 Washington Gala on September 24th. The Gala, held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, will feature distinguished guests along with eight other student finalists from across the country, ranging from high school age to out of college. Olivia was encouraged by Archmere Chinese instructor Kelsie Yang to apply last year. The Confucius Institute Washington Gala will be a night to "celebrate the students' achievements and the Institute's mission of providing high-quality Chinese language education and introducing Chinese culture in order to enhance people to people interactions between China and the United States."
