Rugby Competes For State Championship Title This Weekend
Just five years after starting its rugby program, Archmere once again looks to reach the pinnacle of the sport this week. This Saturday, May 6th, at Baynard Stadium, Archmere and Salesianum will compete for the Rugby Delaware State Championship Cup. The match will be the second annual Tyler Brown Cup, held in memorial of Salesianum rugby player Tyler Brown, who lost his life in a car accident last March. T-shirts will be sold for $20, and combined with ticket proceeds, will raise funds for the Tyler Brown '16 Foundation and Scholarship.
There will be a curtain raiser match at 5pm with the championship match kicking off at 6pm. Tickets are $2/child and $5/adult. All fans are cordially welcomed to attend a tailgate at Salesianum after the match.
Come out to support Archmere Rugby as they defend their title of State Champions!
