The Senior class participated in our annual Career Day. 131 Archmere seniors visited over 80 different hosts at a variety of companies throughout the mid-Atlantic region.
Experiences included meetings with city officials, spending the day with a Park Ranger, observing a trial, touring a local golf course with the PGA, and making rounds in the ER. We are grateful to our hosts who included alumni, current and past parents, faculty spouses, and other friends of the Archmere community.
Individual meetings with the Class of 2019 have begun and the second of the two Junior Parent College Nights is January 16th. Parents can register at https://pickatime.com/client?ven=11607878&event=315210. College Counseling asks that at least one parent attend one of the two nights. After the January program we will begin family meeting signups.
ACT and SAT
Over a hundred students participated in a free practice ACT last weekend. A free practice SAT will be offered on January 27th, students can register at https://pickatime.com/client?ven=11607878&event=314952. We recommend that juniors discuss actual testing option with College Counseling and consider taking the February ACT and/or March SAT (offered at Archmere). Registration deadlines are a month prior to the actual test date.
