Archmere Soccer Head Coach Bob Bussiere Named United Soccer Coaches Regional Coach of the Year
Founded in 1941 and based in Kansas City, Mo., United Soccer Coaches has grown into the world’s largest soccer coaches organization that serves members at every level of the game. Every year they recognize not only All-American and All-Regional soccer athletes, but also exceptional regional coaches. This year, Archmere's head coach Bob Bussiere received the 2017 Mid Atlantic Region, Private/Parochial School, High School Boys Coach of the Year.
To qualify for consideration, a coach must be a member of United Coaches, as well as have a successful record for that season. In addition, the coach should exhibit:
Knowledge of the game (rules, systems, coaching philosophy)
Rapport with the team (respect of the players)
Team image (team conduct, style of play, performance)
Conduct on the field (positive behavior)
Work for coaches organization (meetings, committees)
Outside involvement (clinics, camps, conventions)
Community involvement (leagues, banquets)
Rapport with other coaches (cooperative, considerate)
Rapport with officials
Relationship with media (cooperative, considerate)
Bob will be recognized at the annual High School Coaches Breakfast on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at the Marriott Grand Ballroom G/H in Philadelphia, in conjunction with the 71st United Soccer Coaches Convention.
