Former Archmere Coach Nancy Keiper Inducted into Delaware Sports Hall of Fame

On May 24th, retired Archmere Tennis coach Nancy Keiper was among ten people inducted into the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame during the organization’s 41st annual banquet at the Chase Center on the Riverfront. A native of Haverford, PA, Nancy spent six decades in the sport as a player, coach, community leader, administrator and advocate.

As a high school coach at Archmere, Nancy was twice named Delaware Coach of the Year and once Middle States Coach of the Year, winning three state titles and sharing in another. As a player, Nancy experienced success at all levels, particularly as a senior. She won a gold medal in doubles at the U.S. National Senior Olympics in 1995, and a silver medal in that same event in 1993. In the very competitive USTA League Tennis program, she was part of three national title-winning 4.5 teams.
