The goal of the evening is to share our philosophies on college admission planning, to promote a healthy thought process and discussion for our families, and to dispel untrue rumors about the college admission world. Discussion topics will include: course selection, extracurricular interests, opportunities outside of Archmere, when and how to start a college search, testing, the college timeline, and the College Counseling four-year team approach to best prepare our students for success at Archmere and in college.
Supporting Your Student: Cultivating Healthy Relationships
Wednesday 5/18 from 6:30 to 7:30pm on Zoom
Please join us for a presentation and discussion focused on cultivating healthy teen dating relationships. Learn about the ways that dating violence can manifest in teen relationships and how we can best guide our teens to develop healthy behaviors.
Our presenter will be Dr. Jennifer Naccarelli (P '22), the founding co-Director of the University of Delaware’s Center for the Study & Prevention of Gender-Based Violence. An Associate Professor and Acting Chair of the Department of Women & Gender Studies, Dr. Naccarelli’s work focuses on violence prevention and interventions for survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault.
The program will include panel presentations from college and med school admission personnel, a doctors panel, and an allied health panel. We highly recommend you attend if you are interested in a medical field, have questions about a specific medical profession or the differences between occupations, or are wondering what is good preparation for a college health science major.
