3:00 p.m. | The Patio | $15 for general admission

Donna Mulzet Beech compiled the first-ever publication of twelve of her piano compositions in 2017, and followed it up in 2020 with "Piano Music of Ann Wyeth McCoy, Book Two: Of Paintings and a Sculpture." This event, based on Book Two, consists of the eighteen short compositions that are inspired by paintings done by the family artists—her father N.C.Wyeth, brother Andrew Wyeth, nephew Jamie Wyeth, husband John W. McCoy, and sister Henriette Wyeth Hurd.

Dr. Beech will discuss and perform the piano compositions and display slides of the artworks that inspired each.  Her books will be available for purchase.

Ann Wyeth McCoy was the musician of the Wyeth family of painters, as well as a gifted painter herself.  She composed hundreds of compositions, mostly for solo piano, that are generally short and descriptive tone poems inspired by her surroundings of nature, paintings, animals, and especially by people who were near and dear to her. This event, based on the book, Piano Music of Ann Wyeth McCoy, Book Two: Of Paintings and Sculpture, consists of the eighteen short compositions that are inspired by paintings done by Wyeth family artists—N.C.Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth, Jamie Wyeth, John W. McCoy, and Henriette Wyeth Hurd. Dr. Beech will discuss and perform the piano compositions and display slides of the artworks that inspired each. The book will also be available for purchase.
