Spanish IV Students Participate in Conference of Inventions

On Friday February 7th, the Archmere Spanish IV students held a Conference of Inventions. The students presented their inventions, which were designed to solve a specific environmental problem, and then requested funding from “investors” in the Archmere Science Lecture Hall.
Approximately 23 students, divided into groups of 2, participated in the Invention Conference. During their regularly scheduled Spanish IV class period, half of the students walked around, listening to the pitches given in Spanish, and the other half presented their environmental solution, explaining how their specific invention works using a large visual aid. At "half time", they switched roles, and the students who were the investors became the ones explaining their invention/giving their pitch.
