86th Archmere Academy Commencement Exercises

Archmere Academy welcomed 114 alumni into its ranks during Commencement ceremonies on June 27th on the Patio lawn. The Baccalaureate Liturgy & Commencement Exercises were also live streamed for friends and family to view on the Archmere YouTube Channel.
The 114 Archmere seniors will be enrolling at 61 different colleges in 21 states, the District of Columbia, and three countries this fall. The Class of 2020 garnered over $17 million in scholarships.
 
Class of 2020 Valedictorian was Sophia Liston, and the Salutatorian, Alexandra Williamson. Sophia will be heading off to the University of Pennsylvania to study International Relations, and Alexandra will head to Davidson this fall, majoring in Environmental Studies.
 
Riley McAvinue received the Archmere Medal, the school’s most prestigious award, which is given to the senior whom the faculty believes best exemplifies the ideals and values of Archmere. The Activity Medal, the second-highest honor, went to Abigail Kates. The medal recognizes service and participation.

Other departmental honors went to Andrew Shi, Mathematics and Science; Phoebe Brinker, English; Sofia Alvarez, Theology; Sophia Liston, Chinese and Vocal Music; Alexandra Williamson, French; Clara Curren, Spanish; Melina Reilly, History; and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, Jessica Pei.
 
Also, Rohan Kakkilaya, Computer Science; Meghan Presta, Art; Gabrielle Hogan, Christian Service; Stephen D'Antonio, Drama; Michael Kelly, Instrumental Music; and Alexandra Williamson, Humanities.
 
Matthew DiGregorio was recognized for excellence in boys athletics, and Abigail Kates won the award for girls athletics.
