Mastersingers Earn Gold at Heritage National Music Festival

From April 20-23, the Archmere Academy Mastersingers were in Williamsburg, VA to compete in the Heritage National Music Festival. While in Williamsburg, the Mastersingers performed a concert at the historic Bruton Parish Church, which was attended by many Mastersinger families and by former Mastersinger Ryan Tibbetts, class of 2000, who was part of the very first Mastersinger group to compete in 1998. The singers also sang for Mass at St. Bede's Church, the Catholic church of Williamsburg.

The Mastersingers garnered a Gold Award and 1st place in the Chamber Choir Division with a score of 96 out of 100. As a result of their scores, they have been invited to perform next year in Carnegie Hall, Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco, CA, Chicago's Orchestra Hall, Schermerhorn Symphony Hall in Nashville and Thompson Symphony Hall in Toronto.

Congratulations to The Mastersingers of Archmere Academy!
