Valentina Ramos '26 Wins "Student of the Week" Online Poll

Archmere junior Valentina Ramos has been named the first "Delaware Student of the Week" by an online poll. Similar to the long-running "athlete-of-the-week" feature that honors athletic achievement alongside reader voting, Delaware Online/The News Journal is honoring a "Delaware Student of the Week" across high schools. The award highlights academic work, extracurricular activities, volunteerism, and perseverance -important qualities that make up the lives of young scholars.
Valentina was nominated along with four other high school students in the area, and the entry published on Delaware Online. All week, the community was able to vote for a student winner. Valentina received 45% of the votes and was announced the winner on Monday, November 25th.

Valentina's nomination entry read as follows:

"A three-year member of her private school's Helena Raskob Arts Institute, Valentina has taken the international stage for a few years already, according to her nominator. The harpist was awarded second prize in an international harp competition, "Concours Francais de la Harpe," in France last spring. That's while the junior was one of some 131 contestants representing 20 countries. In the same month, Valentina competed with Archmere Model UN club, winning best delegate as Malaysia."

Congratulations to Valentina Ramos!
