Successful Math League Meet At this month's Math League Meet, the Archmere 9th grade A team scored an impressive 31/32 points, while the B team also performed very well, capturing 2nd place out of the 5 teams competing. The teams were led by Eric Chen, Caroline Jiao, Lucas Xun, and Joseph Zhang, who all earned a perfect score of 6 - and Jason Shen and Lynn Zhuang who both earned a score of 5.
Our 10-12th Math League teams also topped the leaderboard with 27 and 20 points, the next team coming in a distant 3rd with 9 points. Top scorers were Kabir Goyal, Zora Zhang, Allison Qu, and Rebecca Wang followed by Kevin Gu, Kathrine Wang, Daniel Qi, Wika Sun, and Steven Zhao.
"The Importance of Becoming an Organ and Tissue Donor": Scholarship Opportunity
Organ donation is crucial for lifesaving and life-enhancing transplants, and it relies heavily on having people sign up with their driver's license. Delaware needs videos to help spread the word about the importance of becoming a designated organ donor. The contest to win a $1,000 scholarship is open to high school students from each county in Delaware, and will close on April 3, 2026.
Submission information:
- Open to Delaware students in grades 9 to 12
- Submissions are judged on creativity, accuracy, and positive messaging
- Students are encouraged to interview a transplant patient or an organ recipient
- Video must NOT include any footage of dangerous or reckless driving, or driving that is in violation of the Delaware Vehicle Code or any Delaware law
