Girls Tennis Team Places Second in State, Boys Place Fourth

On May 21st, the 2025 Tennis State Championship finals were moved to the indoor facility at DuPont Country Club to escape a day-long rain, and six singles and four doubles champions were crowned after five hours of tennis. This year’s championships featured outstanding individual and team performances, showcasing the talent, sportsmanship, and dedication of student-athletes from across the state.
The Archmere girl’s team, with a 13-1 regular season record, placed second overall. Highlights included individual championships by Valentina Ramos and Rebecca Wang in First Doubles and a Second Doubles Championship win by Lauren Nguyen and Jessica Li. In addition, Susie Shipley captured second place in Third Singles.

The boys team boasted a 10-3 regular season record and placed 4th overall in the DIAA State Tournament. Individually, Charlie Rittereiser brought home the Boys Second Singles Championship.

Congratulations to the entire tennis team and coaches on a fantastic season!
