Archmere Academy welcomed 136 alumni into its ranks during Commencement ceremonies on June 4th in the Performing Arts Center. The Baccalaureate Liturgy & Commencement Exercises were also live streamed for friends and family to view on the Archmere YouTube Channel.
The Class of 2023 will be matriculating at 70 colleges in 22 different states, Scotland, Canada, and the District of Columbia. They are traveling an average of 420 miles from Archmere to attend college and 29 of them are enrolling at a school no other Archmere student presently attends. The Class of 2023 garnered over $20 million in scholarships. While they will become Horned Frogs and Bulldogs, Vols and Eagles, Fighting Irish and Bobcats, they will always be Auks!
Class of 2023 Valedictorian is Alexander Chen, and the Salutatorian, Helen Qi. Alex will be attending The University of Pennsylvania’s Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology, and Helen is headed to Yale to study Economics.
Jessica Lattanzi received the Archmere Medal, the school’s most prestigious award, which is given to the senior whom the faculty believes best exemplifies the ideals and values of Archmere. The Activity Medal, the second-highest honor, went to Nate Morda. The Activity Medal recognizes service and participation.
Chris Albero was recognized for excellence in boys athletics, and Emma Gioffre won the award for girls athletics.
