Josh Hanson '26 Wins First Place at New Castle Science Fair, Advances to Delaware Valley
Archmere junior Josh Hanson won First Place at the 30th Annual New Castle County Science Fair, in the high school category of Zoology for his project titled, “Decomposers and Plastics”. Josh’s research project focused on the effect of plastics on the environment that decomposers such as snails and meal worms live in, and how plastics subsequently affects them. In addition, he also won an individual award for his research on plastics.
Following his success at the local level, Josh advanced to the Delaware Valley Science Fair, held on April 2 at the Greater Philadelphia EXPO Center. He competed against 34 high school teams from Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey!
