Monthly College Counseling Update: April 2025

Season of Celebrations for the Class of 2025!

  • We’ve reached the end of one journey and the beginning of another as the majority of seniors have made decisions about where they will continue their educations. Seniors attended our second College Counseling Coffee during Work Period on Tuesday, sharing their Spring Break visit informations and raving about their college choices. They also polished off 13-dozen doughnuts!
  • Thursday, May 1st is our College Decision Day Celebration! Seniors are asked to wear apparel from their colleges. The following will be occurring:
    • Omelet and Pancake station for breakfast before school.
    • All day:
      • Senior Photo Booth
      • Thank you card completion
      • Raffles for free school swag
      • Lawn and other games
      • Signing of class boards for counselors
    • During the last period of the day seniors will gather on the steps of St. Norbert for a class photo and the Mr. Softee ice cream truck will arrive for an ice cream social!
  • Congratulations to all seniors and their families. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your journey and to allow us to be a part of your story telling. Best of luck at your new homes. We are all blessed!
  • One recommendation to all seniors as you celebrate your accomplishments and futures over the next two months - show appreciation to those that have guided and shepherded you along the way. Your family, your teachers, your coaches, your friends have all been apart of your successes. Bring them into your happiness, recognize their love and contributions, and thank them for all that they have contributed.

Juniors:

  • We’ve been excited to hear about all the college visits the Class of 2026 completed over Spring Break. If you haven’t discussed your travels with your College Counselor, please do!
  • 90% of Junior Family Meetings are complete. If you have not had your meeting, please reach out to your counselor.
  • Congratulations to the Juniors for having a very successful teacher recommendation process. The class completed the task in record time!
  • Final course registration forms, which require a college counselor’s signature, are due Friday, May 2nd. Please do not wait until Friday!
Summer Opportunities:

  • The College Counseling Office is staffed over the summer to have discussion and answer questions.
