Boys' Soccer Defeats Charter in Double Overtime at Talen Stadium

In a thrilling overtime victory, the Archmere boys' soccer team took on conference foe Wilmington Charter at the Talen Energy Stadium on Tuesday evening. The Auks, ranked third in Division II, can credit the win to senior Will Schatzman, who scored in the second minute of the second overtime.

Mike Lang of The Dialog also credits the strong effort of both goalies, saying, "Momentum swung back and forth all night, although offensive opportunities were at a premium. When shots did get through, Bowen and his Auks counterpart, Niko Triantafillou, were equal to the task. Triantafillou, a freshman, made the first save in the fifth minute."

Each team had eight shots, with Niko Triantafillou '22 ending the night with five saves. The Auks (8-1) celebrate homecoming on Saturday by welcoming Dover for a noon start.
