Athletic Teams All Produce Wins on Homecoming

Last weekend, Archmere's campus was buzzing with activity as we joined together for our Homecoming Festivities. On Friday evening, October 12th, the Girls' Volleyball team defeated DE Military Academy at home, 3-1. The set scores were 25-13, 24-26, 25-16, and 25-16. Playing in front of a nearly packed house and vocal student section to kick off Homecoming weekend, the Auks improved their record to 12-0 and set the stage for a series of wins for the Archmere teams. On Saturday morning, October 13th, the Girls' Field Hockey team took on Red Lion, scoring six times and evening their record at 5-5. Senior Lauren Ross lead the Auks with a hat trick, a major contributor to their 6-1 win on Homecoming weekend.

Next up was the Boys' Soccer team, who defeated Dover 3-1, improving their record to 10-1. Senior Will Schatzman had two of the goals, and senior Brian Neill brought in the third. The final game of the day was the Archmere football team, who again added another win to the weekend, defeating DE Military Academy 34-24 in front of a robust crowd on the Archmere lawn. Football has won five games in a row, and this Friday night travels to Baynard Stadium to take on St. Elizabeth's before rounding out the regular season with conference opponents.
