Exciting News from Archmere Academy and The Independence School

The leadership of Archmere Academy and The Independence School is excited to announce that the Association of Delaware Valley Independent Schools (ADVIS) has awarded the schools an ADVIS - Edward E. Ford grant designed to fund innovative, collaborative projects between our schools.

 

The grant will underwrite the academic work of administration and faculty at both schools to develop a joint three-day winter program for January 2020, collaborative faculty professional development, and action research. 

 

The research will focus on two areas – students’ acquisition and mastery of critical thinking skills and students’ overall health and wellness as they relate to stress and anxiety.

 

We are excited about the opportunity to join with another strong school in our commitment to faculty professional development and to inform our curricula around child and adolescent development.
