AP Art History and AP World History Collaborate

AP Art History and AP World History classes combined to complete a collaborative assignment on a common theme of the use of art to promote legitimacy and power within an empire. Groups were formed with a mixture from both classes and were asked to find a specific work of art from two historical time periods and a contemporary work that contradicts the message of the first two. Students then presented their findings and explained the messages of their works. Overall, students were able to use the information and analysis techniques learned within their respective classes to create this collaborative presentation.
