Field Hockey Team 6-0, Has Yet to Let a Goal In

The Archmere field hockey team picked up exactly where they left off last year, with an incredibly strong roster of experienced players. Already 6-0, the team has boasted several big wins and has yet to let a goal in. The Auks have defeated Concord, Sanford, Saint Mark's, Wilmington Christian, Conrad and Caravel, making headlines for the tough 1-0 win against Saint Mark's and the 11-0 shutout against Conrad.
For much of their game at Saint Mark’s on the afternoon of September 15, Archmere’s field hockey team was knocking on the door, looking for that elusive score. Finally, after sending shots toward the cage all game, Emma Gioffre '23 got one in early in the fourth quarter, and that stood up in a 1-0 win over the Spartans.
