The Auks are flying everywhere! Fifteen students and two teachers will travel to Costa Rica six weeks from now to study and engage with our changing environment...and also find time for some white water rafting! Then as soon as school lets out in June, Spanish students will visit Spain and attend classes with the students they hosted in September while, on a separate trip, twenty-five other globe-trotting students will be touring several historic cities and towns in Italy. But there's more! Over Thanksgiving in 2026, ten students will travel to Granada, Nicaragua, to tutor the children at Centro de Oportunidad, a barrio school outside this colorful city and maybe catch a zipline on a volcano! The
over Easter break in 2027. If your child is interested in this opportunity, please contact Mrs. Lobo (
) for more details. All students who travel internationally with Archmere become eligible for the Global Studies Diploma. Contact Mr. Dougherty for details.

Drama Club Participates in Bucks County High School Theatre Festival and Continue to Write Cappies ReviewsArchmere Drama Club took part in the 58th annual Bucks County High School Theatre Festival in New Hope at the Bucks County Playhouse. Per moderator Mr. Brian Manelski, "The Club had not been to this competition since 2017, so it was great to take the kids to this beautiful little town and have a day hanging with theatre kids."
The students went to workshops in the morning, then presented competition plays in the afternoon. They presented a short comedy called, "The League of Semi-SuperHeroes". Katie Savitsky, Colin Mosely, Anabelle Demosthene, Anne Shaposky, Evie Lunger, and Gretchen Tonn (supported by understudies Lilyanna Kuchler and Reagan Gardiner) won "Best Comic Ensemble" at the festival. And our tech crew, Evelyn Goodrick and Angelina Garcia, won a Technical Achievement award for their efforts supporting the show behind the scenes. Congratulations to the cast and crew for representing the energy and talents of our Drama Club.
Also, the Cappies season continues for our critics. Anabelle Demosthene was selected for publication for her review of Ridley High School's Noises Off, which we saw on Friday night. The link is here:
Cappies critics have to see and write reviews for five shows in the Greater Philadelphia area. Even though our show is done, they are still seeing shows, writing reviews, and representing our school through their words. Congrats to Anabelle!
