Michael Falkenstein '12 graduated UMBC with a Masters in Computer Science and a Minor in Economics in May 2017.

Charlotte Rath ’13
is a senior at Lafayette College. She is an International Affairs major minoring in Spanish. Charlotte was named to the Dean’s List Spring and Fall of 2015 and Fall of 2016.  She was also named a Patriot League All Academic 2014, 2015 and 2016 and plays lacrosse for Lafayette. She was named Team Captain for the 2016 & 2017 seasons.

Caroline Rath ’14
is at junior at Ohio State and is a Sports Industry major and a Business Administration minor.  She was named to the Deans List in Fall of 2016.  Caroline was named Big Ten All- Conference 2015 and 2016 and plays field hockey for Ohio State.

Brett Lawlor '10
had the lead role of Don Browning in "Leaving Iowa" at The Paul Bunyan Playhouse in Minnesota in the summer of 2016.

Henry Moore 2015
spent the summer between graduation and freshman year of college traveling through Israel, Cyprus and Germany. He is currently studying International Relations at the University of Delaware.

Haley Moore 2014 earned 3rd place in the Leica International Student Photo contest on April 19th for her piece "Twisted Sister". Photojournalist Peter Turnley selected her photo to be published on Leica’s online photography journal. Haley is currently studying communication design at Parsons The New School for Design where she has made Deans List all four semesters. She also interns for designer Jennifer Behr.

N'dea Yancey-Bragg '14
is currently studying at Northeastern University and made the Dean's List for the second time in two years. She is currently doing an internship in Istanbul, Turkey for the Fuller Project International. Her major is journalism.

Zane Wilson '15
is enjoying Syracuse University in snowy central NY as a Dean's List bio-chemistry major.

Anna L. D'Eramo '14
has made Dean's List at Villanova University School of Business (VSB). She also serves as a Villanova Student Ambassador, B+ Foundation NovaDance Volunteer Chair, Campus Ministry server, Student Alumni Association Representative, and is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority.

Samuel Dainton '15
made the Dean's List his first semester at Mount St. Mary's University.

Orcel Kounga '12
is in his junior year at Drexel University. Orcel currently serves as an Executive Student Ambassador as the Events Coordinator, planning Drexel Open Houses on the student side. He is also serving as the President of the Interfraternity Council, an organization that oversees the 14 fraternity chapter's on Drexel's campus. With only a few credits left, Orcel has completed 2 cooperative experiences (co-ops) working as a paid intern at Gramercy Realty as an IT Analyst and working at the Drexel Dornslife School of Public as a Website Developer and Content Manager. Orcel is a pre-law, Computer Engineering Major with a minor in Legal Studies with his last term GPA being a 3.48. During his senior year, he plans on working on a thesis paper involving law and engineering principles.

Christopher McCord '11
was graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University on June 2, 2015 with a B.S. in Engineering, with a major in Operations Research and Financial Engineering, and minors (certificates) in Computer Science, Engineering Physics, and Finance. Chris was the top graduate in his major, receiving the Frank Castellana Prize. Chris also received the Princeton Class of 1916 Cup as the Princeton University Class of 2015 senior varsity athlete of highest academic standing. Chris was a two year captain and four year letter winner of the Princeton varsity sprint football team. Chris will pursue graduate studies in Operations Research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston.

Matthew E. Walinchus '10
has moved to Washington, DC to work for a new technology start-up company, Orate, an on-line platform for event planners and public speakers. Matthew is doing product operations management, day-to-day operations, and website development. After graduating from Pace University in May 2014, Matthew worked first in real estate in New York City,  a job he also had during his college years.

June 2015

Tory Sylvestre '13 recently presented her paper, "Type 1 Diabetes: The Liminal Space Between Ability and Disability"as part of an undergraduate panel at the Society for Disability Studies annual conference in Atlanta, GA. Her analysis of personal blogs led her to posit that people with type 1 diabetes transcend the current bifurcations of "ability" and "disability" due to fluctuating blood glucose values. Her research places diabetes within a disability framework and addresses ruptures in the medical and social definitions of this condition.

April 2015

Ben Creekmore '14 was recently accepted into the Honors Carolina Program at UNC Chapel Hill following the fall semester. Ben also had the opportunity to travel during spring break to Puerto Rico with AIA (Athletes In Action) representing UNC's swimming and diving team through Cru Ministry.

March 2015

Emily Fulginiti '14 has made Dean's List as a freshman at Villanova University. She was also accepted into the Honor's Program and admited to the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Emily has accepted a judicial internship for the Summer of 2015 with President Judge Jan R. Jurden at the Superior Court of the State of Delaware.

December 2014

Ryan T. Lee '10 earned a bachelor of science degree with a double major in biology and leadership studies, from the University of Richmond. Ryan plans to attend medical school in pursuit of a career as an orthopedic surgeon, specializing in sports medicine.

Orcel Kounga '12 is entering his junior year at Drexel University studying Computer Engineering. As a student leader, he is also working with several college organizations to assist with fundraising efforts for the Painted Turtle. The Painted Turtle offers camp programs for children with serious medical conditions.

J.R. Creekmore '11 recently received the following awards for his studies at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville: Male Scholar of the Year awarded by the University of Tennessee Athletic Department at the annual VOLSCARS event and the Citation for Extraordinary Academic Achievement at the Chancellor's Honors Banquet.

April 2014 

Joseph Richard Creekmore, Jr. '11 was graduated from The University of Tennessee on May 8, 2015 was a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Chancellor's Honors Program, with a minor in Hispanic Studies. JR ran cross country and track for four years, receiving numerous awards for scholastic achievement from both the Athletic Department and the College of Engineering. JR remained in Knoxville for the summer to continue the work he had done for his Senior Engineering Project. He is now pursuing a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, on a full scholarship.

February 2014

Katie Christenbury ‘13 has had a great first semester at Peabody. She was named the recipient of the G. Raymond Ziegler Endowed Scholarship. Only two other voice students were named recipients, both of which were graduate students.  She has also been cast in two opera scenes which will be performed in the spring and will be giving a recital in March. 
 
Emily Christenbury ‘13 had great first semester at Coastal Carolina University.  She made the Dean’s List with a 3.8 GPA and was invited to join the school’s Honors Program and an accelerated business program in which she will get her B.S. in Business Administration in three years and will spend her fourth year getting her Masters Degree (either an MBA or Masters in Accounting.) She was also selected for the Phi Sigma Pi Honors Fraternity chapter at CCU.   

Jen Gerard '10 is currently studying Biology with a minor in Neuropsychology at Bucknell University and will graduate May of 2014. After publishing her research and presenting at conferences in New Orleans and Boston, Jen and her research group were invited to take part in opening a center specializing in Autism treatment and research, creating a partnership between Bucknell and Geisinger. During her undergraduate career, she was a research assistant for Geisinger Hospital, completing work in neurodevelopmental genetics to help the medical community further understand Autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. During her four years at Bucknell she was also the President of three student organizations, held a position as a Biology tutor, volunteered as an EMT, and was the student pre-health advisor for Bucknell's Career Development Center. After graduation, Jennifer plans to work as a research assistant at Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Oncology as she applies to Physician Assistant schools where she will specialize in Pediatric Neurosurgery.


January 2014

Thomas Mengers '10 of will be working as an intern this spring with Saint Vincent College Archabbey and Parish under the supervision of Sharon Bogusz. Tom, son of David '83 and Patricia Mengers, is a senior at Saint Vincent College majoring in theology with a minor in criminology, law and society. Saint Vincent College’s Internship Program is an academic program, which allows students to work off campus to acquire career-related skills, earn academic credit(s), earn money and develop a professional network for future employment contacts.


October 2013 

Samantha Reis '10 was recently inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa, Nu Chapter of Virginia. Samantha is currently a Senior at Roanoke College. Phi Beta Kappa inducts the most outstanding arts and science students at America's leading colleges and universities. 

J.Wesley Maxwell '11 is majoring in English at Texas State University and busy playing the guitar in his band. 

May 2013

Philip Williams '10 received a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Villanova University graduating with high honors in three years. Philip also received the Villanova Medallion for Academic Excellence based on academic achievements and the display of Augustinian values. He has recently started his career at Apple and is currently living in Cupertino, CA. 


April 2013

Joseph O'Connell'12 was named as 2013 All CSAC Honorable Mention - Mens Lacrosse. Only 3 Freshmen were named to 1st, 2nd and Honorable Mention for the entire conference. Joe leads the Marywood Pacers team with 27 caused turnovers.

A junior at Saint Vincent College majoring in theology with a minor in criminology, law and society, Thomas Mengers '10 was accepted to participate in the eighth national Catholic Social Teaching Symposium for college students sponsored by Archbishop Francis Chullikatt, Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See to the United Nations and president of the Path to Peace Foundation. Son of David and Patti Mengers of Claymont, Thomas Mengers is a 2010 graduate of Archmere Academy. He has been active in student government for three years as a residence hall representative and class senator, campus ministry and service learning projects including Habitat for Humanity. His home parish is Immaculate Heart of Mary in Wilmington.

JR Creekmore '11 was initiated into Tau Beta Pi, The Engineering Honor Society, Tennessee Alpha Chapter. Tau Beta Pi is the oldest engineering honor society in the United States and the second oldest collegiate honor society in America. TBP honors engineering students who have shown a history of academic achievement as well as a commitment to personal and professional integrity. From the TBP website, the society was founded "to mark in a fitting manner those who have conferred honor upon their Alma Mater by distinguished scholarship and exemplary character as students in engineering, or by their attainments as alumni in the field of engineering, and to foster a spirit of liberal culture in engineering colleges."

J. Wesley Maxwell '11 is a sophomore majoring in English at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX.

Joseph O'Connell '12 is currently attending Marywood University and playing lacrosse. Marywood's men's lacrosse team recently traveled to Queens to assist residents with Hurricane Sandy Relief. Click here to read the story.

Ty'ron Rasul Gorman '10 was named to The National Society of Collegiate Scholars in July, 2012, because of his outstanding academic performance at The Pennsylvania State University.

Devon Malfitano '12 is currently playing soccer for Franklin & Marshall. The nationally ranked Diplomats are 10-4-0. Devon has seen action in every game and provided the game winning assit vs. Stevenson University.

Joe O'Connell '12 plays lacrosse at Marywood University. He enjoyed playing in the scrimmage against the Alumnu during Family Weekend. He is working hard in school and on the field.

Elyse Andrews '12 is attending the University of Delaware, is in the Honors Program and plays lacrosse. Her workout schedule is rigorous, as well as her studies, so she is keeping busy!

Alexa Tsaganos '12 is currently playing soccer for Catholic University, averaging 70 minutes of playing time per match. Alexa is a biology/pre-med major, so balancing her schedule can be a challenge, but the lessons she has learned at Archmere about time management have proved to be invaluable.

Bryan Garrahan '12 was awarded a $500 scholarship from the Duke's Lacrosse Club in honor of the late Ricky Whelan. Bryan is an All-State and All-Phillylacrosse.com Northern Delaware pick. He is a freshman midfielder at Saint Joseph's University.

Katherine Schultz '07 is teaching English at a high school in Linz, Austria, through the Fulbright program.

September 2012



Hillary Fitts '10 is a Division I field hockey player for Fairfield University and was instrumental in wins against Yale University, 4-0 and Monmouth University 5-4 in overtime. While at Archmere she earned eleven varsity letters. (She is number 22 in the picture.)

August 2012

JR Creekmore '11 was named to the 2011-2012 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll at the University of Tennessee. To be honored, each student-athlete must 1) have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above; 2) be on scholarship or a letter winner; 3) have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial credit; and 4) have been a member of the varsity team for the sport's entire NCAA Championship segment. JR competes on the Volunteers' Mens' Cross Country and Track teams.

Karen Shantz ’12 performed in July as a featured soloist and dancer with the Upper Darby Summer Stage Shooting Stars for a packed house of more than 2000 audience members at Rose Tree Park amphitheater in Media, PA. The Shooting Stars, a select show choir that performs year-round, consists of approximately 36 students representing the 700+ students who participate in Upper Darby Summer Stage. The Rose Tree concert was the group’s final performance for the season. The Shooting Stars regularly appear at the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade, Disney World and various retirement homes, nursing homes and community outreach events throughout the Delaware Valley. Here is a clip of Karen performing “Defying Gravity” from the Broadway musical, Wicked.

In addition to performing with the Shooting Stars, Karen also served as Assistant Choreographer for the Children’s Theatre production of Dora the Explorer, Live and was a Baltimorean in the Main Stage production of Hairspray at Upper Darby Summer Stage.
