Drama Club Brings Home Awards From Two Area Competitions

This spring the Archmere Drama Club brought their one-act play to two competitions. On Thursday April 13th, they competed in the Bucks County/New Hope Play Festival and on Wednesday, April 26th competed in the West Chester University High School Theatre Competition. The play was Peter Tarsi's Tracks, a play about life, death, and learning to forgive yourself.

At Bucks County, Keelin Reilly '17 scored Archmere's only award for Best Supporting Actor.

At the West Chester Festival, Caroline Quinn '17 won Best Actress for the play competition. She then went on to win the Audition / Monologue Competition and along with Jackie Kraft '17, won the four-minute Scene Competition.

The Bucks County Festival promotes itself as an opportunity for teens from throughout the region to come to the Playhouse to perform for each other, take master classes, and receive professional adjudication. West Chester University’s Department of Theatre and Dance uses their event as a valuable tool to help students transition from high school to the collegiate theatre stage. The Archmere show was well received at both competitions.
