Maddi Larmore '18, Seth Bale '19 and Anna Zdunek '18 Selling Poinsettias for the Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House of Delaware works to keep families close to their children as they receive treatment from local hospitals such as A.I. DuPont Children’s Hospital. Three Archmere students, Maddi Larmore '18, Seth Bale '19 and Anna Zdunek '18, are members of the House’s Youth Leadership Council, a group of students who work to fundraise for the House throughout the year.

The purpose of the Youth Leadership Council (YLC) is for high school students to become active in leadership and community service with the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware. YLC members raise awareness of the mission, support the House through fundraising and volunteer efforts, and act as ambassadors in the student’s school and community.

As members, Maddi, Seth and Anna also stay current on all communications, and complete each of the “5 Hearts” of the Council before the end of the school year. Hearts include:

  1. Planning, hosting, and attending a Youth Leadership Council group event
  2. Planning and hosting a YLC fundraiser
  3. Supporting RMHDE Share a Night
  4. Participating in at least 3 volunteer projects
  5. Initiating one individual project
For the holiday season, Maddi, Seth and Anna are selling poinsettias to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House. All proceeds will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware. Orders can be submitted through November 27th either through a Youth Leadership Council member or by purchasing online. Colors, details and sizes can be found on the website.
