Honors Linear Algebra Class Featured on FiveThirtyEight.com for 100th Column

Every Friday, the website fivethirtyeight.com, a sub-website of ESPN that features statistical articles on politics, sports, etc, publishes a column called The RiddlerThe Riddler is a very challenging math problem that readers try to solve and submit their answers. Each week, one of the correct solutions is published along with the new "riddler". Today, Friday, November 17th, is the 100th column of The Riddler, and the editor wanted to feature high school classes that work on The Riddler for this special feature. Archmere's Honors Linear Algebra class has submitted solutions in the past, but were one of four classes selected to create a math problem for the centennial edition.

The editor writes about the four high school classes chosen, stating, "Today's column includes four problems fresh from the minds of some of Riddler Nation’s brightest young citizens …". The Honors Linear Algebra class consists of Seniors Alisa Yakovenko, Sophie Friedman, Natasha Gengler, Alex Gulea and Brant Wesley, under the supervision of math teacher Dan Pisani.
