Students Recognized in DePaul's Blue Book for Best American High School Writing 2026

The Editorial Staff of DePaul’s Blue Book: Best American High School Writing 2026, has recognized the writings of several Archmere Tapestry students. The following students are Finalists: Megan Shaposky for "Sunbath"; Chloe Li for "Mermaid Omakase"; Julia Krajewski for "The Rabbit"; and Kendall Hanna for "Songs of the Forgotten". Two student works were chosen for inclusion in the publication: “Sister and Dog” by Karina Ong and “Anatomy of a Cigarette” by Chloe Li. Published annually, Archmere's Tapestry is a student run literary and fine arts magazine, supported and advised by Archmere English Teacher Mr. Stephen Klinge.

The work of all four Finalists will be acknowledged in the "Finalists" section of the anthology. Out of thousands of submissions from across the country, less than 3% of pieces became Finalists.  Additionally, “Sister and Dog” by Karina Ong and “Anatomy of a Cigarette” by Chloe Li were chosen by the staff for inclusion in the anthology. Congratulations to Karina and Chloe, whose writing was selected for publication, representing less than 1% of all submissions.

The digital copy of the anthology will launch in May 2026; physical copies will be published in June 2026. A hard copy of the physical anthology will be sent to each teacher and 5 copies to each student. While supplies last, any additional copies can be ordered for free via DePaul’s Blue Book website.
