Volleyball Opens Season with Win over Wilmington Friends

On September 3rd, the Archmere volleyball team traveled to Wilmington Friends for their first game of the season, defeating the Quakers 3-0. Set scores were 25-12, 25-11 and 25-11. Lilly Guzevich '27 led the Auks to the first six points of the set, and with help from Bridget Malloy '26 and Grace Mahoney '27, started a scoring brigade that was difficult to stop. Both Grace Mahoney '27 and Brooke Maddox '28 recorded 7 kills in total, with Bridget Malloy '26 recording 11. Lilly Guzevich '27 contributed 2 kills, 7 aces, 8 dogs and 26 assists to the victory.
