Next Up for Global Studies: Japan and Nicaragua, and an Adults Only Trip to Italy!

The Global Studies Program has organized a STEM-focused, culturally rich trip to Japan over Easter break in 2027. If your child is interested in this opportunity, please register for a remaining seat by 2/1/26 to guarantee the current pricing. Contact Mrs. Lobo (vinital@archmereacademy.com) for more details. For information about the Global Studies Diploma or Certificate, contact Mr. Dougherty at tdougherty@archmereacademy.com

The Global Studies Program is returning to Granada, Nicaragua, in ten months, over Thanksgiving break, to tutor the children at Centro de Oportunidad, established by Neighbors to Nicaragua, which was founded by Wilmington native, Chuck Selvaggio. Mr. Dougherty is looking for (10) students to join Mrs. Trainer and him to support both this school, located in a poor neighborhood outside Granda, and its mission by showing the amazing children that they truly are seen and that they do matter. Archmere students will teach them, play with them, swim with them, and celebrate Christmas with them over the course of five days. And when they're not at the school, they'll zipline, swim at a waterpark, maybe hike a volcano, walk and tour beautiful Granada, stay in a wonderful hotel that serves a great breakfast, and perform other community service. Contact Mr. Dougherty for more information.

The first-ever international trip for Archmere adults will be this summer! On the itinerary? Athens, Florence and Rome.
Please see this link for important information regarding the adults only trip to Italy.
