Monthly College Counseling Update: December 2025

Seniors

The next round of application decisions began to drop in the second half of January. Students have, or will receive, decisions from Purdue, Miami, Villanova, Richmond, Rutgers, and James Madison to name a few.
Semester grades will become official next week and College Counseling will forward them to all schools that seniors have an active application at. The only schools that will not receive a transcript are those that we did not send an original to (self report schools). Colleges have begun to request updated grades from students, we will forward as soon as we possibly can. Students who saw a defer decision in early action or early decision should consider a point-of-contact after grades are sent and can reference out Defer Guide

On February 6th, there is a special schedule and seniors will participate in the Young Alumni Networking programs. We will welcome 15 - 20 young alumni to share their college and career journeys will seniors in a networking setup at the Patio.

Juniors

All Junior Introductory meetings have been completed and we’ve visited Work Periods for a mini-seminar session about College Seminar and introspection.

Invitations to schedule Junior Family meetings will be sent out in mid-February. The second of our two Junior Parent Nights is Thursday, January 15th 6:30 in the SLC. We ask one parent to attend one of the two nights. If we didn’t see you in December, we look forward to hosting you on the 15th. We will also host two Junior Parent College Coffees in February in preparation for Family Meetings — registration will be open later in January.

During the February 6th special schedule, juniors will be participating in a Young Alumni College & Career Panel with select professionals.
