Cross Country Competes at Whippets Invitational

On Saturday, September 20th, the Archmere cross country team posted strong performances at the Whippets Invitational hosted by Downingtown West High School. The team collectively had 28 personal best times. The Varsity Girls finished 6th out of 40 teams from Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland, and the JV Girls finished 7th out of 33. The Varsity Boys finished 13th out of 43 teams and the JV Boys were 12th out of 36.
Riley Horsey’s run of 19:27 moved her into 11th all time in Archmere history and 5th in the sophomore class. Alaina Thomas’ 19:39 was good enough for 12th all time and 9th in the junior class. Owen Parsons ran his way into 13th in school history with a time of 16:34.

This weekend the team will travel to Jackson, NJ to compete at the Six Flags Wild Safari Invitational.
