Both the 9th grade and 10th-12th Math League teams finished very strong in the regional competition!
Delaware Secondary Math League concluded this year's regular season on Wednesday, January 21st, after four regional meets held once a month from October to January.
In 9th grade, Archmere's A team easily won 1st place with 102 points, followed by our B team in 2nd place. Eric Chen earned 1st place with 22 points, followed by Jason Shen in 2nd place with 21 points. Lucas Xun rounded out the top 3 with 18 points. All Archmere 9th grade Mathletes finished in the top 9 individual places out of 19 competitors.
In the 10-12th grade division, Archmere also dominated the competition. The A team won with a total of 117 points for the year, with Archmere's B team in 2nd place with 86 points. The 3rd team in our region was over 40 points behind! Kabir Goyal earned 1st place in our region with 22 points, Allison Qu earned 2nd place with 20 points. Kevin Gu and Zora Zhang tied for 3rd with 19 points each. Kevin Xiao was also a top performer, but unfortunately missed one meet and hence was unable to place.
Congratulations and good luck to all Mathletes as they prepare for the state Invitational in March.
