Danyele Dove ’93 Awarded Dorothy Height Justice Award

This month, Danyele Dove ’93, Archmere Academy Director of Counseling and DEI, was presented with the Dorothy Height Justice Award in honor of her remarkable dedication to the YWCA of Delaware. The award, named for the iconic racial justice revolutionary Dorothy Height, is specifically for an honoree who embodies the same passion and zeal as Ms. Height. Dorothy Height is openly acknowledged as the first person and woman who was a leader during the civil rights movement to recognize inequality for women and African-Americans concurrently, as the two concerns had been viewed separately prior to Height’s revitalization. The award recognizes unwavering commitment to justice, equity, and human dignity.
Ms. Danyele Dove ’93 has been recognized as an individual who demonstrates passion and zeal for the YWCA's mission. Her counseling office helps to create a welcoming and inclusive culture that encourages, supports, and celebrates the diverse voices of the Archmere community. Currently, the school has 35 student racial and social justice facilitators through YW Leaders training at the YWCA of Delaware.
