Auks Extend Winning Streak with 4–0 Victory Over St. Elizabeth
The Archmere Academy baseball team continued its strong late-season run on Tuesday, earning a 4–0 victory over the St. Elizabeth Vikings and extending its winning streak to four games.
The Auks delivered another solid performance on both sides of the ball, shutting out the Vikings for the second time this season after also defeating St. Elizabeth in April.
On the mound, Zachary Buchta provided a steady outing, pitching one inning without allowing a hit or earned run. Buchta has been remarkably consistent throughout the season and has not issued more than two walks in any of his last five appearances.
Offensively, Nick Schwartz sparked the Auks lineup with an impressive performance, finishing 1-for-2 with a triple, two runs scored, and three stolen bases. The two-run effort marked his highest scoring output since April. Shane Harding also contributed in key moments, recording an RBI, a run scored, and a stolen base.
With the win, Archmere improves to 11-5 on the season.
The Auks return home Thursday afternoon to host Sanford Warriors at 4:00 p.m. as they look to continue their winning momentum.
