Announcing the Class of 2025 Valedictorian and Salutatorian!
Archmere Academy is pleased to announce the most distinguished awards for the Class of 2025: the Valedictorian is Grace Yang, and Class of 2025 Salutatorian is Brianna Yang. The class Valedictorian and Salutatorian earn these distinctions through their superior academic achievement, which directly correlates with the number of courses elected, and number of high-level courses taken. These are our highest academic awards and represent four years of discipline, hard work, and resilience.
On May 16th, Principal Katie Thiel announced the honors and presented each student with a special gift: two of her favorite novels, each with themes that aligned with Grace and Brianna’s interests and activities at Archmere. Grace was gifted Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin, and Brianna received Americanah, a novel by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Having taught both girls in AP French, Principal Thiel commenced Grace and Brianna for being “immensely curious and worldly scholars”.
Grace will attend Brown University to study Health and Human Biology as part of the Program in Liberal Medical Education (PLME). PLME is an eight-year combined baccalaureate-M.D. medical program offered by Brown University. This fall, Brianna is headed off to Yale University to study Economics.
Congratulations to Grace and Brianna on their impressive accomplishments!
