Football Team Wins Third Game in a Row

The Archmere Academy football team faced Laurel High School in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday, defeating the Bulldogs 42-6. The Auks have now won four contests by 22 points or more so far this season.
Johnny Orsini ’26 threw for 161 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also rushing for 32 yards and one TD. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (139.6). Not tone outdone, the team's run defense was locked in: Laurel could only muster 3.5 yards per carry. Frankie Morda ’27 led the defense in that effort.

The win, Archmere’s third in a row, raised their record to 5-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.3 points over those games.

Archmere will travel this week for the upcoming matchup: Tatnall at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
